Chicago- (I've been) Searchin So Long
This was filmed on the band's Winter 1977 world tour. This is part of a longer Dutch concert. This song is probably my favorite James Pankow tune. It features Peter Cetera on vocals and the legend, Terry Kath on guitar. Enjoy!

This was recorded at the Budokan in Tokyo, Japan on December 15, 1995. This song was written by Robert Lamm and it appeared on the first album. Infact, it was their first single. In 1971, Robert lamm and Peter Cetera recut their vocals for this song and "Lowdown". These two songs were rerecorded with Japanese lyrics. Chicago performed these songs on their tour of Japan in June of 1972. This per...

This song was recorded LIVE in Tokyo, Japan on June 1, 1990. Bill was taking part in the 19th annual Japan Music Awards. "No Wasted Moments" is from Bill's solo EP of the same name. This was recorded in Tokyo, Japan on 1/10/1984. "Stay the Night" was the first single from the hugely successful 'Chicago 17' album. It was written by Peter Cetera & David Foster. The music video for this song remains a very popular request on VH-1 Classic. The song is dated, but it hasn't died. Obviously, people still love this song... or the video. Either way, this is a rare glimpse at the ba...

Chicago (band)- Mother -LIVE 1972
Переглядів 67 тис.6 років тому
This was filmed at the Budokan in Tokyo, Japan- June, 1972. "Mother" was written by keyboardist/vocalist Robert Lamm in 1970 and appeared on their 'Chicago III' album in early 1971. This was a political statement on Robert's part regarding pollution. This song was performed routinely from 1970-1972. They may have performed this at ChicagoFest in 1981. I can't remember. Either way, it has not be...

Переглядів 122 тис.6 років тому
This was recorded in April of 1987. "If She Would Have Been Faithful" was the third single off of 'Chicago 18'. This song was a hit despite the fact it suffered from no music video in the 'video age'. Very odd that they didn't make one. This song reached #17 on the main Billboard chart and #9 on the American AC chart. It was written by Steve Kipner and Randy Goodrum. Steve Kipner also wrote Chi...

How do does the band thank Peter for their first #1 song. By giving him one song to sing (and write) on the next album. At least he made it a big one.

Today, they seldom perform any song from this marvelous album. Maybe, Chicago XI (especially Little One) is just too painful for the surviving original members (Robert Lamm, Jimmy Pankow, and Lee Loughnane).

Pankow has said Cetera refused to sing this song after a bit because he thought the lyrics were "corny." Well, I personally think these are some of his best vocals -- and the public sure embraced this song, charting at #5 Billboard and #3 easy listening. I heard the band do it in concert 2 years ago - with gusto - and it is still a big crowd-pleaser.

Meanwhile: In some parallel universe, there exists a tape of Chicago’s rendition of “Sail on Sailor,” with Bobby, Pete, and Terry handling verses 1-3 respectively. Even better, Walt, Lee, and Jimmy are parroting these parts with their horns. And the proverbial cherry on top? Terry closing things out with one of the potentially greatest guitar solos ever known to man. If only…
